Catherine Agbesi Selorm young and dynamic class prefect of the floral department of the EKGS Culinary Institute has revealed that leaving an enviable record in both moral and academic work behind is one of her priorities.
Ms. Agbesi Selorm said she would do everything possible to leave a good name behind.
According to her she was elected due to the high leadership qualities her colleagues saw in her and will never do anything contrary to disappoint them.
The institute in conjunction with students elect students with high quality leadership skills to lead various classes for the six months course period.
She noted that there was this perception that women always want to enjoy freedom in everything they do and for that matter stated in her acceptance speech that they have left their comfort zones to come here for a purpose which has something to do with their future so they should strictly adhere the rules and regulations of the institute in order to achieve their desired objective.
She also promised not to compromise on her responsibilities by playing a mediation role between students and the school authorities to make sure they enjoy cordial and exciting relationship. Catherine Agbesi Selorm, who studied psychology at the university of Cape Coast and aspiring counselor said her ability to read the mind of the students helped her to determine which psychological approach use to handle misunderstandings and other petty squabbles among students when it happen.
According to her the level of unity and love that are prevailing in her class is exceptional which means the issues of misunderstandings will never happen again.
